The Last of Us is one of the most important franchises in the industry, and it is that with only two installments, it has managed to make many players fall in love. Now, we are in a period of uncertainty, since we do not know, for sure, if a third party is even possible, but if you are a fan of this franchise, there is a title in development that may interest you. Yes, as you may have guessed, we are referring to the multiplayer title, which was initially going to be a mode for the second installment, but in the end it has reached such a magnitude that it has become a different project.
Currently, we are waiting to know more information about this, and it is that despite the fact that we know of its existence officially, you still know practically nothing. Even so, we can say that there is a lot of hope that it ends up being one of the best multiplayer titles on PS5, although some information has now come out that would indicate that it would not be an exclusive next-generation video game.
It could also come to PS4
As reported by Insider Gaming, we can intuit, thanks to a job offer on the Naughty Dog website, that this video game would specifically reach both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This is because at a certain point in this offer it is specified that you need to have “Working knowledge of PS4 and PS5 systems”which opens the door for this video game to also reach the last generation of consoles.
Likewise, and although it is not mentioned, we might think that this video game could also be released for PC, due to this new PlayStation strategy with its exclusives on computersplus the fact that, being a multiplayer game, this would broaden the player base, and therefore could thrive over time.
For now, we will have to wait until we know more about this title, although according to all the rumors, this would occur during the current year 2023. In the meantime, we can only hope that Naughty Dog takes their time, and manages to deliver, even though we’re not talking about what fans want, one of the best PS5 games.
