Characters
Known for his childish and immature behaviors, Bob is one of the main Minions in the Despicable Me/Minions franchise. Unlike other Minion types, Bob has heterochromia. This means that he has two different colored eyes.
Although, Bob is described as “Little Brother,” he is not actually a kid. He is a plump, bald Minion with heterochromia, which is when he has two different colored eyes.
Bob was the only Minion interested in Kevin’s journey. They set out together before Gru arrived. But halfway through the journey, Bob became hungry and started causing chaos. Luckily, Kevin breaks in and saves him. He and Scarlet Overkill also take turns being the bodyguards of each other.
Appearances
Besides being a lovable minion, Bob also plays a major role in the Minions movies. In fact, he is the only one of the three main characters to actually make it onto the big screen.
In the Despicable Me movies, Bob is a member of Gru’s Minions. He is a kind and loving minion who enjoys video games. He also has a good friend in Chris. He is often seen with Tim, a stuffed teddy bear.
In the movie, Bob also serves as Scarlet Overkill’s bodyguard. He is also the only one of the minions to actually win Scarlet’s prize. His most noteworthy accomplishment is being the first one to swallow the ruby that wins her challenge.
Mishaps
Unlike other Minion protagonists, Bob is a bit of a dud. His Sword from the Stone doesn’t mean anything in a legal sense. He does know how to swim though.
He is also a fan of the bedtime stories of the day. He often carries a brown teddy bear named Tim. He will also occasionally throw a fart at you. One time, he accidentally swallowed a ruby. However, he also has a tendency to stay in non-clean places. His best quality is his hair. He wears a purple top hat and white gloves.
Aside from his teddy bear, Bob also carries a bindle stick. This is the smallest thing he owns. He also has a sign with “BOO YA!” on it.
Personality traits
Despite being a relative neophyte in the world of minions, Bob is actually a quite capable character. His impressive feats of acrobatics and pranks have earned him a spot in the Minion hall of fame. He also nabs a brief stint in Despicable Me 2.
The top echelons of the Minion clan have a few standouts, but Bob is unquestionably the most noteworthy. One of the best qualities of this lovable bugger is his wit. In fact, he is the only member of the gang to have a sense of humor. For instance, in the first half of the movie, he tries to take out a butterfly with a teddy bear, but when Scarlet gets a taste for the real thing, he goes to town.
Relationship with Stuart & Kevin
During the events of the first Despicable Me movie, three Minions named Kevin, Stuart, and Bob are in search of their master. The trio’s last encounter with young Gru took place in the 1960s. But now they are in Orlando, Florida, where they are trying to find out where their master is.
When they arrive at Villain-Con, they are given a demonstration by Dr. Nefario, who shows them a freeze ray that can freeze villains and give them a freeze. They are also shown a piece of ice that crushes the head of the yeti. It is also revealed that Minions have been around since the beginning of time. They are genetically engineered by Gru. They serve as his servants. They are also talented at engineering and have exceptional abilities.
