The Last of Us: Part I is coming to PC earlier than expected and at a lower price.
Yesterday, Sony participated in The Game Awards 2022 with the announcement of the arrival of Returnal and The Last of Us Part I for PC after their exclusive releases for PS5. While the Housemarque title had been leaking for months, the remastering of the first The Last of Us was even announced with a release date, opening its reservations and revealing that it will be cheaper on pc.
While The Last of Us Part I was released in September 2022 on PS5, the title will jump to PC in March 2023. However, it is noteworthy that the title is now available in physical and digital format with a sale price The recommended price of €79.99, the highest cost for a PlayStation 5 game, while on PC it can already be pre-ordered on Steam and the Epic Games Store for €59.99. In this way, there are 20 euros of differences between both versions.
It is disconcerting that, despite the fact that the title has been released earlier on PS5 than on PC, it maintains a higher price on the Sony console. The title, which includes the first story of The Last of Us remade from scratch but respecting all the content and settings of the original, includes its Left Behind expansion.
The Last of Us Part I improvements
At the moment, The Last of Us Part I has not revealed its minimum and recommended requirements for PC as it has not revealed its unique characteristics on computers either. The title was released as a total overhaul of the original experience, faithfully reproduced but incorporating modernized gameplay mechanics, improved controls, and expanded accessibility options.
To do this, Naughty Dog completely recreated the game using the latest technology from its graphics engine for PS5 with advanced visual fidelity. However, there are unpublished details, such as the advance of the new IP of the study.
