Gaming and NFL fans have plenty to get excited about. The preseason has started, and it won’t be long before you’re checking the NFL week 9 odds, looking ahead to see who’ll win the Super Bowl.

Now that football is back in our lives, there’s plenty to look forward to. If sports betting, watching games, or a fantasy team isn’t enough for you, then have no fear! The release date for Madden 23 has been announced. Read on to find out all the crucial information about the top NFL game.

Madden 23 Release Date

EA Sports usually times the game launch for the NFL season. This year is no different, with the game release date set for August 19. That being said, the game is available for preorder. Depending on the edition you get, you could find some nice bonus features thrown in. Plus, early access will be available to those purchasing the All-Madden Edition.

Either way, players will have plenty of time to get excited for the NFL regular season, which launches on September 9th, 2022. Trailers for the game have already started to build the hype.

The Cover Star

Previous Madden releases have seen Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Antonio Brown, and Odell Beckham Jr. This year, the choice for the cover star was clear. It’s none other than John Madden himself. The commentator and coach, who gave the game its name, was the best possible choice.

Sadly, Coach Madden died in December 2021 at the age of 85. The tribute is a fitting one, and it doesn’t end with the cover. The game developer, EA Sports, has indicated that there’s more of a classic Madden feel to this new release.

What to Expect

There’ll be three editions of Madden 23: All-Madden Edition, the standard edition for new generation consoles, such as PS5 and Xbox Series XIS, and the standard edition for old generation consoles, like Xbox One and PS4.

Much of the talk about the new release has been around FieldSENSE for PS5 and Xbox Series XIS players. Skill-based passing and an upgraded game mechanic will give players more control over the action on the field.

Franchise Mode scenarios are getting an upgrade too. More thought and detail have gone into options for bye weeks, contracts, and team turmoil. You can expect all aspects of play to feel more realistic than ever before.
