Next July 26 arrives on the Star + platform “Saint Avoid”the series based on the homonymous bestseller by Tomás Eloy Martínez and starring Natalia Oreiro.
The story focuses on the events that occurred after the death of Eva Perón and the intriguing story of the embalmed body, which was kept waiting to be buried for three years for the construction of a monument that never materialized.
It will also take place in 1955, when the Argentine military forces overthrew then President Juan Domingo Perón and hid Evita’s body for 16 years, in order to prevent it from becoming a weapon against the regime. “Santa Evita” is the story of a body without a tomb and the legend that was born around it.
The series stars a renowned international cast led by Natalia Oreiro (Eva Perón), Ernesto Alterio (Colonel Moori Koenig) and Diego Velázquez (Mariano), with the special participation of Francesc Orella (Dr. Pedro Ara) and Darío Grandinetti as Juan Sunday Peron.
It will consist of seven episodes, recorded in more than 40 locations in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the participation of 120 actors and actresses, and 1,300 extras that will be seen under a meticulous period reconstruction process. Among other curious facts about the shooting, the presence on the scene of more than 80 vintage vehicles in action, as well as 150 pieces of clothing designed especially for the series, stand out.
