Ubisoft has launched its Ubisoft+ game subscription service on Xbox consoles. However, this service has not been integrated as part of Xbox Game Pass as it happened with EA Play, but requires a separate payment of €17.99 per month in Spain, £14.99 in the United Kingdom or 17.99 $ in the United States.

Ubisoft+ offers the company’s main games, adding titles since its launch day, and also offering discounts on virtual currency packages within selected games. “Partnering with Xbox to launch Ubisoft+ Multi Access on Xbox consoles enhances our subscription offering to bring more value and choice to our players”, explained Chris Early, Ubisoft’s senior vice president of strategic partnerships and business development.

Like us, Ubisoft strives to bring more games to more people., and today we are accelerating that effort together, ”said Sarah Bond, corporate vice president of creator experience and ecosystem at Microsoft, which yesterday launched PC Game Pass in 40 new countries. “By launching Ubisoft+ on Xbox, we are introducing Xbox console gamers to another vibrant catalog to explore by subscription.”

Ubisoft+ expands

The Ubisoft+ subscription service was originally launched for PC in September 2019, offering in its basic plan over 100 Ubisoft games, including new games and DLC since launch. However, the service went further and added Ubisoft+ Classics to the PlayStation Plus subscription service in its Extra and Premium mode, offering a smaller catalog for PS4 and PS5 players.

Although Ubisoft has canceled its participation in E3 2023, the company will offer great news at its own event, the Ubisoft Foward Live planned for June 12, which will be broadcast from Los Angeles, pointing out the importance that it will have. The reappearance of Assassin’s Creed: Mirage or Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be some of the key elements, although we will have to see what else the company that is now expanding its subscription service through Xbox saves.
