Just a few days ago we learned new details about the Borderlands movie from the hands of Jamie Lee Curtis, who will play Dr. Patricia Tannis accompanying Blanchet in the role of the redheaded mermaid Lilith. Although the project has taken longer than expected to reach theaters, the adaptation of the well-known Gearbox saga finally has a release datebeing next year.

After being advanced by other big projects like The Last of Us series or Super Mario Bros. The movie, Borderlands will be released on August 9, 2024 after completing its filming in the summer of last year. It is unknown why the adaptation has taken so long to find a release date, although without having seen images of the film, one can expect a proposal full of humor and violence, two keys to the saga.

As the ComicBook portal collects, only the attendees of last year’s CinemaCon have been able to see images of the Borderlands movie without any details being disclosed. Yes, there is an image of the Claptrap model that has been used to bring the robot to life on the tape, resulting in the same image that we can find in the games of the saga, with its characteristic yellow and white paint, with bumps and scratches all over the plate.

An all-star cast for the Borderlands movie

Apart from the good old Claptrap, voiced by Jack Black, or the characters Dr. Patricia Tannis or the mermaid Lilith, Kevin Hart will play Roland and Ariana Greeblatt Tiny Tub, a character who had his own installment recently. Regarding video games, The Borderlands Compilation: Pandora’s Box was leaked yesterday.
