2024 has been dubbed Fearless: Year of Shadow by SEGA, which wants to celebrate the resurgence of the red and black hedgehog throughout this year through his participation in different projects. Beyond having a greater representation in the concert tour of Sonic Symphony World Tour or serve as a source of inspiration on a motorcycle in the MotoGP Fan Zonethe character will debut as an enemy in Sonic 3, the moviewhile also starring in his own adventure in Sonic x Shadow Generations.

Shadow will have its own Sonic Frontiers-style campaign in the game that will be released this year, since this is more than just a remaster of the original game from 2011. The hedgehog will star in an unprecedented story in which Black Doom, his enemy, returns and wants to take over the world. In this way, the protagonist must travel to the past, face memories and use his dark powers to save the world.

Now, SEGA has presented the First images of Sonic x Shadow Generations: Dark Beginningsthe animated short series that expands on the game’s story. During a special panel at Anime Expo 2024, Sonic Team boss Takashi Iizuka and Shadow the Hedgehog voice actor Kirk Thornton debuted this trailer featuring new addition Stephanie Sheh.

Beyond this trailer, SEGA has confirmed that Sonic x Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings is set to release sometime this fallwith a total of three episodes whose duration is unknown. The series already has a poster that highlights the prominence of the red and black hedgehog this year.

Sonic X Shadow Generations is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC next month. October 25it is expected that this animated series will be published on social networks and YouTube before.
