After playing his first match with the Independiente shirt, the footballer Iván Marcone spoke with the TyC Sports outlet about his feelings after his debut and his goals in the “Rojo”.

“I had a hard time sleeping after the game. It was an amazing night. My family knows that my dream since I was a child was to play here,” Marcone said.

In turn, the former Boca Juniors footballer referred to the shows of support from the “Rojo” supporters during the match against Estudiantes: “I thank the Independiente fan for the welcome, because it was something unexpected. Now I have to show all the love of the fan on the field. Independiente needs us all and I have to try to give the club what it requires of me”.

“Surely it must be much better to play where you are a fan because there is more passion. Today I feel another joy. Becoming champion with Independiente would be the best”, commented Marcone

Regarding the objectives in the cast of Avellaneda, the native of Sarandí stated: “We started a very long tournament and to become champions we have to have a long process behind. We all have the goal of Independiente being champion, but to grow we have to go game by game”.
