The Muschietti are the executive producers of the project together with Jason Fuchs, in addition to having worked on the development of the script. As for Andy, it is estimated that he could direct the first episode of the series, it is still unknown if he will have Bill Skarsgård like Pennywise.
As for the plot, although it is very likely that they will be new stories, the truth is that King’s novel still has “a lot of material to cut”. If we look closely, the book has around 1,200 pages, where in addition to the story adapted on the screen, it develops other stories that happened in Derry (the fictional town located in Maine, United States) related to the appearance of the creature, which It returns in cycles of every 27 years.
