Argentine goalkeeper Walter Benítez was presented today as a new player for PSV Eindhoven, from the Netherlands, after playing six seasons for Nice in France.

Benítez, 29, signed a three-year contract with the Dutch cast and will be managed by the historic former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

“After six seasons in France, I was ready for a change. I have had an excellent feeling since contact with PSV and my image of the club was confirmed when I arrived here this weekend. This is a club with a great history and the The complex looks incredibly beautiful. PSV’s ambition appeals to me enormously,” Benítez told the club’s official channel.

He added: “PSV plays for all the prizes and I was looking for that challenge. I want to get the most out of myself and the team, in every training session and in every match. People can expect the same from me. I have already received many messages from fans and I’m very grateful for that. I’m looking forward to this adventure.”

Regarding his career, Benítez made his official debut in Quilmes in 2012 and remained in the institution in the south of Buenos Aires until 2016. In the last six years, the goalkeeper wore the Nice shirt, where he played a total of 188 games between the French League, National and European Cups.
