Despite there being various projects on the horizon, Star Wars: The Acolyte has become one of the most anticipated series in the franchise, with today being a day to celebrate after it was announced that Its premiere has been set for June 4 exclusively on Disney+which agrees with the launch window that had been revealed a few weeks ago.

The news has been shared on the official Star Wars X account, where a poster of the series has been published to anticipate that Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 19, its first trailer will be presented, which will give it a first look. Now, fans celebrate being able to soon discover what the High Republic era was like.

According to its official description, “The Acolyte is a mystery thriller which will take viewers into a galaxy of dark secrets and emerging dark side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes“But the forces they face are more sinister than they ever anticipated.”

For now, it is known that Power Stenbergthe mythical Rue from The Hunger Games, will be the young former Padawan, while the star of The Squid Game Lee Jung-jae will become a Jedi Master, while Joonas Suotamo, better known as Chewbacca, will now play a Wookiee Jedi called Kelnacca. Also in the cast will be Jodie Turner-Smith, Manny Jacinto and Charlie Barnett in roles yet to be revealed.

Beyond The Acolyte, Skeleton Crew with Jude Law will also be released this year, while Andor's second season could arrive laterin the absence of news.

Like every Star Wars series, The Acolyte can be seen exclusively on Disney+which now has three subscription plans, the cheapest being a standard plan with ads which costs €5.99 per month. Not seeing advertising on the platform costs 8.99 euros per month or 89.90 euros per year, while the plan premiumwhich adds maximum image and audio quality* rises to 11.99 euros per month or 119.90 euros per year.
