At present we seem to have forgotten about it, but Atari is undoubtedly one of the historical companies in our sector, which achieved thanks to Nintendo that the medium became popular at first. This aforementioned American company gave us some of the best games in history at the time, which owe their status especially to their pioneering and classic character. Of all these we could say that one of the most recognized is Pongand it is that we are also facing one of the first games in history, but now it will return in a surprising way.

The first trailer for qomp2 has recently been published, a game whose name may not tell you anything at all, and may even sound strange, but the truth is that we are facing what Atari has called “an artistic reimagining of Pong“. As the aforementioned trailer makes clear, in this game we will see what would happen if the pong ball hit one of the paddles but instead of bouncing it continued forward.

For now Atari has not shared the official release date for this title.so we can intuit that we will not be able to play until at least next year 2024, so it will join the list of releases for 2023. Still, if we have been able to know all the platforms on which this video game will be released, being that in this case practically any user will be able to enjoy this gamesince it will arrive on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Another classic that comes back to life

In recent years we are experiencing a boom of classic games that come back to life, although most of them tend to have a little more depth than Pong, a title that is basically like playing tennis or any similar sport. For this reason we did not expect this particular title was given a reimaginingbut the truth is that it has left us with a lot of desire to be able to play it.

Let’s hope that in the coming months Atari will make its release date official, so that we know when we can enjoy qomp2, a more than interesting game for retro lovers.
