The liberal militant, Carlos Maslatón, continues to distance himself from Javier Milei and confirmed that he would compete in a PASO within La Libertad Avanza: “If Milei says that he opens the game to PASO, then we will see,” he confessed.
In this sense, the liberal referent recognized: “I prepared my whole life for this moment”, in dialogue with Clarín on his first day as a presidential candidate in 2023.
In this way, the lawyer also appeared on C5N, where he declared with astonishment: “They just told me that Milei said that he plays in the Champions League and Maslatón in the First D. Nothing happens, if you like to have fun with it. This is Milei!”, and revealed: “If Milei says that she opens the game at STEP, then we’ll see. I don’t know, at least I would think about it. That’s something else because it’s within the same space.”
In addition, he was optimistic about taking advantage of this opportunity that democracy gives: “It would be interesting, right? A space that aspires to preside over the Nation that has Paso (…) If I am from the First D, what is the problem “I’m going to get 2 or 3% just. Go ahead, proceed. Let them open the intern.”
On the other hand, on Twitter, he complained about the statements of Milei, who maintains that Maslaton is a marginal within the party: “Milei lacks the authority to say that I am not in La Libertad Avanza. This is a political movement, it is handled with rules of political participation. The parties and movements lack owners, they are not companies or armies or even the public administration,” he said.
