Users of WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook have seen how the three applications experienced operating problems worldwide on Monday.

Those responsible for the messaging application have been the first to admit the problem through their official Twitter account about 30 minutes after users from all over the world reported the incident: “We are aware that some people are experiencing problems with WhatsApp right now. We are working to get everything back to normal and will update the information here as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!” they explained.

The incident was picked up by the ‘Down Detector’ digital services panel, where in a graph you can clearly see the moment in which the problem occurred and how the number of reports received on this website skyrocketed.

Users report issues with all three apps

In addition to Spain, tens of thousands of Internet users in the United States, Mexico, France, Romania, Norway, Georgia, Greece and other countries went to the popular portal to report that they could not access services.

The problems have begun to be reported after 5:00 p.m. on Monday, with more than 30,000 warnings for errors linked to WhatsApp functions and another 10,000 messages warning of Instagram malfunctions in just half an hour.

In the specific case of the popular instant messaging application WhatsApp, when users send messages, the notice “connecting” and a clock icon appear, but the content is not sent to its recipient.

As far as Facebook and Instagram are concerned, the two apps do not load new posts or allow content to be shared.

As usual in this type of situation, the users of the different applications have not been slow to ironize about the fall of the platforms through Twitter, which has not suffered any problems in its operation.
