This episode is very special. My Gadgetocast podcast has reached episode 100 🥳. Also, it coincides with the last episode of 2021. That’s why I wanted to make a compilation of what have been my essential gadgets this year.
Surely some you already know and others you don’t. Let’s see what you think.
I have divided them into four categories according to the use I give them: with whom I do not leave the house, to work, to relax and to play sports.
I leave you more details and the links of those that I mention in the podcast.
Without them, I don’t leave home
AirPods Pro Headphones
Little to say about them. Apple’s commitment to make some noise canceling airpods. The truth is that I hardly use that function and I use them more as headphones that accompany me on my walks.
I still prefer the “regular” AirPods as they fit better in my ear. Also, I can’t use these Pros for running or cycling, that’s why I use the…
bone conduction headphones
I have already told you on several occasions about what a fan I am of the AfterShokz Aeropex.
In this article I tell you about my experience with them.
The truth is that there are days that I also use them on my walks because they sound really good for an open-ear type.
I highly recommend them.
Minimalism Brand Wallet
This is not a gadget as such but an accessory that always accompanies me. I already recommended it to you in the special gifts for the invisible friend but I never tire of recommending it whenever I can.
By less than €15 you have a minimalist wallet to carry your cards and some bills without taking up much space.
I leave you an image so you can see what I reduced it.
We go to the work block which frankly is where I am 80% of the day 😅
For obvious reasons, the laptop is the most essential thing I need. But continuing with peripherals, here is my list:
Logitech MX Keys Mini Keyboard
I really like the products that Logitech makes, that’s why I decided to renew my previous keyboard and bet on the new one that it released at the end of 2021. In this article I will talk about it in detail and compare it with another classic, the Logitech K380.
MX Master Mouse
Accompanying the keyboard, I have had the MX Master mouse for several years. Specifically, a version that he released to sell on Amazon and it is, without a doubt, one of the best investments I have made.
Is very comfortablethe battery has enough autonomy and endless buttons to speed up navigation.
In fact, he always accompanies me in my remote work team. I told you about him in this episode of the podcast.

Sony XM3 Noise Canceling Headphones
These headphones are a must for me. Despite the fact that they are a few years old, for me they are still the best company to isolate myself from my surroundings and be able to concentrate on work.
I wear them for many hours and I can say that thanks to their pads they are super comfortable.
Samson Q2U Microphone
As of today, I have three podcasts and of course I can’t live without a (good) microphone to record with.
I have to admit that it took me a long time to buy the Samson Q2U and I couldn’t be happier. For several years I had the Yeti and despite seeming more “pro” here I explain why it is not so worth it and this Samson beats it by a landslide.
Timeular to track the hours
This gadget has entered my list at the last minute. I’ve only used it for a short time but I’m delighted.
This octahedron allows me to count the hours I dedicate to each project or client (which is very important for a freelancer like me).
I already told you about it and an alternative in episode 97 (I leave it linked here)
Reviewing the gadgets I use to disconnect or relax, I’ve realized that I use few to do so 😅
In this section I simply have to mention my Kindle to read and the Nintendo Switch to play Mario Kart that is capable of moving my head out of any concern.
To do sport
Linked to the previous category, I disconnect a lot by running and riding a bike. In addition, it helps me to oxygenate my head and it is where the ideas come to me.
Garmin Vivoactive 4S
It was time for me to renew the old watch that I used to run. I had been with the Forerunner 235 since 2018 and on the last Black Friday I got the Vivoactive line.
Although it is more intended for fitnessit also helps me to run and I can download songs from spotify without having to go out with the mobile.
Garmin Edge 520 Plus
To finish, I want to mention the bike computer that always comes out with me in my bike training sessions.
It is perfect for following routes and measuring different aspects such as: kilometers, pulse, cadence, speed, elevation…
Here I leave you a screenshot so you can check that I hit the MTB a lot 😉
And colorín, colorado, this selection is over.
I would love to know what your essential gadgets have been this year, do you dare to leave it in the comments? I’ll wait for you!
