Fortnite for Android has been out for a while now. However, until recently, its developer Epic Games decided not to release Fortnite for Android through the Google Play Store. That has changed. You can download and install Fortnite for Android directly from the Google Play Store, or get it through the Epic Games app. We have the download and installation methods right here.
Download and install Fortnite for Android through the Google Play Store
Most Android smartphones and tablets have the Google Play Store pre-installed. To get Fortnite, you just have to search for the game within the Google Play Store and when you find it, you just have to tap on the Install button.

Note: DO NOT search for the Epic Games app on the Google Play Store to get Fortnite. Epic Games has yet decided not to release that app for Google Play.
Download and Install Fortnite for Android – Epic Games App Installation
If you wish, you can get the Fortnite Android installer through the Epic Games app. You will need to download and install it on your smartphone first, and then download and install Fortnite for Android. Since this app is not on the Google Play Store, here’s how to get it:
Use a web browser on your phone and navigate to the Fortnite.com/Android URL. You should see a banner telling you to get the Epic Games app. Tap on it. You will see a warning stating that this type of file can harm your device. Tap “OK” to proceed anyway. Then you will see the EpicGamesApp.apk file has been downloaded. Tap the “Open” link. You may be told that your browser cannot install apps from this source. You’ll need to go to your browser’s settings and then tap on the slider or option to allow the browser to install the app from that source. Lastly, the Epic Games app itself will ask if you want to install it. Tap on the “Install” option to do so. The Epic Games app should now be installed on your Android device.
Download and install Fortnite for Android through the Epic Games app – Download and install the game
Now we will download and install Fornite for Android from the epic games app. This is how you do it.
Tap on the icon of the newly installed Epic Games app on your phone. You should see a huge Fornite ad, along with Epic Games’ only other Android game, Battle Breakers. Tap on the Fortnite banner. You should see something appear asking you to install the game. Tap the “Install” button. You should see the button turn into a progress bar as the app downloads and installs Fortnite. Finally, the app will show you two buttons; one to uninstall Fortnite, and one to launch Fortnite. Hit the launch button.
Download and install Fortnite for Android through the Epic Games app – Samsung Galaxy Store
If you have a Samsung Android smartphone or tablet, you can go to the Galaxy Store and install the Epic Games app on your device. This eliminates the need to go to the Fortnite website. Once installed, simply follow the procedure above to install Fortnite for Android.
Download and Install Fortnite for Android – Hardware or Software System Requirements
Before using the Fortnite Android installer, make sure your smartphone or tablet meets or exceeds the following hardware or software system requirements:
Android 8.0 or higher 3 GB of free onboard storage At least 4 GB of system RAM GPU requirements: Qualcomm Adreno 530 or higher, ARM Mali-G71 MP20, ARM Mali-G72 MP12 or higher
If your phone or tablet meets or exceeds those specifications, you can play Fortnite for Android.
Fortnite Android 60FPS Support
Various smartphones allow Fortnite for Android to run at an incredible 60FPS. Here’s the current official list, though other phones might also be capable of running the game at that high frame rate.

Fortnite for Android on rooted or jailbroken phones
Epic does not currently support Fortnite for Android on jailbroken phones. It also does not currently support playing the game on rooted phones. However, the company added that it is looking into supporting rooted devices in the future if the developer can also offer effective anti-cheating solutions.
Fortnite for Android support for Bluetooth headsets and voice chat
The good news is that Fortnite for Android supports Bluetooth headsets to listen to the game and other players. The bad news is that those headsets don’t currently support voice chat as well. The game itself does support voice chat, but you will have to use your phone’s microphone to chat with your friends.
Fortnite for Android controller, mouse and keyboard support
If you want to install Fortnite for Android and play it with a console-like game controller, the good news is that Epic recently updated the game to support Bluetooth controllers. The FAQ page says that most Bluetooth controllers should work with the game, but it also lists some specific devices:

Unfortunately, Fortnite for Android does not support mouse or keyboard controllers. In fact, if you decide to connect a mouse or keyboard to your phone to play Fortnite for Android, Epic says it will remove you from your match.
Where to find skills for your Fortnite characters
There are different stores where you can find resources or improvements that you can apply to your characters with each game. For example the fortnite shop today offers hundreds of useful resources to be invincible in each battle.
