The match between Deportivo Maipú and Tristán Suárez, corresponding to date 7 of the First National, was suspended in the final minutes of the first initial stage due to an attack on goalkeeper Cristian Correa, who was hit by a projectile thrown from the cast stand local.

The match, played at the Omar Higinio Sperdutti stadium, had the local team with an advantage on the scoreboard thanks to a goal by Bruno Nasta 26 minutes into the first half. However, a few moments later, Correa, goalkeeper of the visiting team, was hit by a flare that was thrown from the stands where the fans of the Mendoza team were.

After the attack, the match referee spoke with police personnel on the field and ordered the suspension of the match.

Regarding the state of health of the Tristán Suárez goalkeeper, he was treated in the area and then transferred by ambulance to a nearby sanatorium, where after the first care he was diagnosed with a bruise with a burn at the height of his back.

It is worth mentioning that this fact must be dealt with by the Disciplinary Court of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), which must decide what will happen to this match and what sanctions the Mendoza institution will have.
