It was in October 2022 when Konami announced four new Silent Hill titles, one of them being Silent Hill: Ascensionan interactive series, not a video game, that will be launched in streaming format to tell a story with completely new characters from the well-known horror saga who returns this year with projects like the one mentioned. Developed by Genvid Entertainment in collaboration with Bad Robot Games and Behavior Interactive, the title is once again displayed in a new trailer.

Silent Hill: Ascension will feature multiple protagonists from locations around the world tormented by terrifying new monsters bent on consuming people, their children, and entire villages. Nevertheless, the actions of the series will be decided by millions of viewers who together will decide the survivors.

Silent Hill Ascension will begin its broadcast this year to tell “daily moments of live stories that cannot be missed” since “every day is different from the previous one depending on the actions of the audience.” In a statement, Genvid Entertainment CEO Jacob Navok explains that “Silent Hill: Ascension will captivate audiences with its immersive experiencehighlighting stunning visuals and community-driven live moments, all while exploring the psychological horror that has made the Silent Hill series so beloved by fans around the world.”

The prelude to new video games

While is true that Silent Hill Ascension is not considered a game to usebecause basically it can be followed in streaming on the official website of the series and on various devices not yet specified, since it is studying the launch of a native application on consoles, PCs, mobile devices and televisions, Konami is working on various games.

The Silent Hill 2 remake is in the hands of Bloober Team, creators of The Medium; while Silent Hill Townfall is developed by the Scottish studio NoCode and will be published by Annapurna Interactive; and Silent Hill Fan “all-new story set in 1960s Japan featuring a beautiful yet terrifying world,” is in the hands of NeoBards Entertainment to be published by Konami.
