It is not being a good time for Ubisoft, since the start of the year that the French company has had could not have been more disastrous, since the board seems to be going aimlessly, reaching the point that they do not stop canceling projects in development and unannounced to the point that together with those that were already canceled last year, add up to a total of 7 projects that will not see the light.
Added to this is the fact that titles like Watch Dogs Legion, the sixth installment of Far Cry, Just Dance 2023 and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope has not met sales expectationsso it is already being said that Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora are being the great strongholds of Ubisoft in 2023, while the success of these titles could mark the future of the French company in the short term.
Another Ubisoft project that goes to waste
Given this, it must be said that, in case they did not have enough, it has been reported that Ubisoft has canceled another gamebeing this known as Project Q and which was a team-based title, while this announcement has been made through the official Discord of the title in which the gala company has indicated that development will no longer continue quite emphatically, leading this even to the fact that the Discord server has closed.
It should be noted that not too many details have been given around the cancellation of the game, while they have only been limited to thank the fans for their support and passion for Project Qwhich was announced in April 2022 and has not even reached a year since its announcement.
For this reason, it will be necessary to see where all this derives from, since the decisions to date of the French company seem to be aimed at focusing on Assassin’s Creed, its goose that lays the golden eggs of which they released a huge number of projects last September. We’ll see how the play of putting all the eggs in the same basket comes out.
